The "Kyiv Digital" application has added a new service for registering for blood donation. Users can find blood donation centers on a map, learn about the need for specific blood types, register for an appointment, and receive notifications about the need for blood donations.
A new service for registering for blood donation has been added to the city's "Kyiv Digital" app. Thanks to it, residents of Kyiv can easily find the nearest blood donation centers on a map or in a list, view the current demand for different blood types, operating hours, address, and contact information.
Users can choose a convenient date and time for donation and register for an appointment. After registering in the application, a reference number will be displayed, and the scheduled visit can be added to the calendar. If plans change, the appointment can be canceled or rescheduled.
The service also offers a "Donor Record," where users can specify their blood type and Rh factor, receive notifications about the need for donor blood, and schedule future donations with reminders about the necessary recovery time.
Deputy Head of the Kyiv City Administration, Valentyn Mondryievsky, emphasized that the development of "Kyiv Digital" is aimed at making important city processes simpler and helping to save lives. Deputy Head of the Kyiv City Administration for the implementation of self-government powers, Volodymyr Prokopiv, noted that the need for donors remains high, and approximately 40 donors per thousand residents are needed to ensure this, while currently there are twice as few. Therefore, it is important not only to participate in donations, but also to do so regularly.
