An anesthesiologist in Kyiv is accused of negligence after a patient's heart stopped during surgery

In Kyiv, an anesthesiologist has been accused of failing to properly perform their professional duties, which resulted in a patient's heart stopping during a scheduled surgery.

According to the prosecutor's office, the doctor administered an incorrect dose of medication in combination with a narcotic analgesic to the patient. As a result, the patient experienced clinical death.

Medical staff were able to restore the patient's heart rhythm, and the patient is currently recovering. The prosecutor's office has not disclosed which hospital the incident occurred at.
