Fatal accident in Bucha region: police investigating
A driver of a Volkswagen Transporter died as a result of a collision with a Mercedes-Benz Actros truck near Makariv village. A passenger also sustained injuries. The police of Kyiv Oblast have launched an investigation into the incident, which occurred due to a violation of traffic rules.
A traffic accident occurred in the Kyiv region, near Makariv village, in which one person died. According to preliminary data, the 63-year-old driver of the Volkswagen Transporter failed to yield to the Mercedes-Benz Actros truck with a trailer, leading to a collision.
The driver of the Volkswagen died at the scene. His 55-year-old passenger sustained bodily injuries.
Investigators of the Kyiv Oblast police department have opened a criminal case under Part 2 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of traffic safety rules that resulted in the death of the victim). The circumstances of the accident are being investigated.
