Fatal accident near Stavyshche: Prosecutor hits a man and flees
In the evening of October 15, near the village of Stavyche, a driver of a Renault vehicle hit a 36-year-old man and left the scene. The pedestrian died from the injuries sustained. Later, a prosecutor from the Office of the Prosecutor General contacted the police, admitting to being involved in the accident. He was detained.
In the evening of October 15, near the village of Stavyche, a fatal traffic accident occurred. According to preliminary information, the driver of a Renault vehicle hit a 36-year-old man.
The pedestrian died as a result of the injuries sustained. His body was found the following morning near a public transport stop near the M-05 route.
On the same day, a prosecutor from the Office of the General Prosecutor's Office reported the incident to law enforcement and informed them of his involvement in the accident. He also provided the location of the vehicle. The man was detained.
At the time of the incident, the prosecutor was on parental leave and was not performing official duties. Currently, a report of suspicion under Part 2 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine is being prepared. The Prosecutor's Office is also considering whether to impose a preventative measure such as detention.
