In the evening of October 15, Russian forces once again attacked an object of critical energy infrastructure in Kyiv and the Kyiv region, which led to power outages for some consumers.

According to the Kyiv City Military Administration, a private residential building in the Шевchenkovsky district of the capital burned down due to falling debris. Emergency services arrived on the scene quickly to extinguish the fire and assess the damage.

The Ministry of Energy of Ukraine has stated that energy workers are ready to begin restoring power supply as soon as the security situation allows. The ministry has also urged citizens to use only verified sources of information and not to share detailed data that could help the enemy.

The Ministry of Energy traditionally avoids disclosing details about damaged facilities and the extent of outages to prevent providing information that could help the enemy plan future attacks. Restoring power after such attacks depends on the security situation in the affected areas.
