288 hectares of forest worth over 31 million hryvnias returned to the state in Kyiv region

According to a lawsuit by the Borispol District Prosecutor's Office, the court returned eight land plots intended for forestry in the Borispol district of the Kyiv region, with a total area of 288 hectares, to state ownership. The value of the land exceeds 31 million hryvnias.

The Borispol District Prosecutor's Office has achieved the return of eight land plots intended for forestry in the Borispol district of the Kyiv region to state ownership. The total area of the returned land is 288 hectares, and its value exceeds 31 million hryvnias.

It has been established that the forested land plots were previously illegally transferred from state ownership to the ownership of the Studenykovsky village council. The prosecutor's office noted that the village council did not have legal authority to manage land intended for forestry, as it was aware of their status.

To reclaim the land for state ownership, prosecutors filed a lawsuit to recover plots of land from illegal possession. The initial court upheld the prosecutor's position, and the Kyiv Appellate Court confirmed the legality of their demands. As a result, all eight land plots, totaling 288 hectares, were returned to the state.
