As a result of a Russian strike in Svyatopytry, Kyiv region, a kindergarten building, a children's playground, and the windows of apartment buildings were damaged. In another settlement in the Bucha district, a civilian woman was seriously injured: she has a fractured right leg and numerous bruises, and she is in a local hospital. According to the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, the area was under Russian shelling throughout the day.
In the village of Sviatopytryvske, in the Bucha district, a school and kindergarten building, as well as a children's playground, were damaged as a result of a Russian attack. Windows were also broken in nearby apartment buildings. This was reported by the Kyiv regional military administration.
In another settlement in the Bucha district, a civilian woman was injured due to shelling. Medical personnel have documented an open fracture of the right femur and multiple contusions in the woman; she is currently receiving necessary medical care at a local hospital.

According to the Kyiv City Military Administration (KОВА), the Bucha district was under attack by Russian forces throughout the day, causing damage to both residential areas and logistics.
Earlier on October 8, a fire broke out in the Bucha district due to a drone strike at the warehouses of the АТБ supermarket chain.
