Residents of the temporarily occupied town of Oleksandriivka have crossed the Ukrainian border in the Chernihiv region. The successful completion of the humanitarian mission was reported by Dmytro Lubinets, the Representative of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for Human Rights.

According to him, the evacuees will be transported to a hospital in Kyiv region. After the surgery, they will continue to be monitored and provided with necessary support.

At the border, buses were met by relatives, medical personnel, and volunteers. Among those who were reunited with their loved ones were Mikhail Paliy's wife and daughter, who had been waiting for his return from the occupation for two years. In addition, it was also possible to transport their pets, including dogs, cats, a parrot, and a raccoon.

The evacuation route passed through Russian Anapa, from where residents of Oleksandrivka were transported by plane to Belarusian Gomel. From there, they continued by bus to Ukrainian-controlled territory. The oldest person evacuated was 94 years old, and the youngest was just over a year old.
