The "green" line of the Kyiv metro, which passes through the Southern Bridge, operates on a special schedule during peak hours.

In Kyiv, on the "green" line of the metro, a special mode has been introduced during peak hours due to restrictions on the Southern Bridge, according to the Kyiv City Administration. It is in effect from approximately 7:30 to 10:00 and from 16:00 to 20:00, as only one train can use the bridge at a time. During off-peak hours, the line operates in normal mode.

The Russian military attacks on bridges in Kyiv across the Dnipro River at the beginning of October resulted in damage to the Southern and Northern bridges. This led to traffic restrictions in the city, and travel between the right and left banks became more difficult.

According to information from the Kyiv City Municipal Administration, a special mode of operation is now in effect on the "green" metro line during peak hours. Trains to "Vidubych" and "Osokorki" will now run alternately between approximately 7:30 and 10:00, and between approximately 16:00 and 20:00. Dispatchers are monitoring the movement. The restrictions are due to the capacity of the Southern Bridge: only one train can pass through it at a time.

During off-peak hours, the "green" line operates as usual. Passengers are asked to be aware of temporary changes when planning their trips.

In addition, the capital city has updated the rules for crossing bridges when an air alert is announced. For example, on the Southern Bridge, traffic is restricted from the right bank to the left bank after 15 minutes from the announcement of the alert. On the ground section of the "green" line, train traffic was resumed during an alert of "yellow level threat" on October 4.
