Residents of Bila Tserkva have been warned about the possibility of temporary disruptions in the operation of the automated centralized warning system. According to local television, БЦТВ (BCTV), due to power outages and voltage fluctuations in the network, the air raid sirens may sound intermittently. Residents are advised to have alternative sources of information about danger – to monitor messages in apps and official Telegram channels.
The community has already begun installing a new alert system, and they plan to complete the work by the end of the year. The new equipment is expected to have increased reliability and autonomy, which will allow residents to be notified of danger even during major power outages; the old system is planned to be completely replaced.
According to other local media, the current disruptions are due to technical work carried out by a contractor under a signed agreement: certain elements of the system are starting with a delay or are unavailable in certain areas of the city.
